Why is it special? How to make this quilling paper art?

This piece is an quilled original master copy of the famed master artist, Leonardo da Vinci’s “Saviour of the World”. You may recognize the Da Vinci painting as the work that made major news headlines as having sold for the most money of any painting in history– $450 million dollars.

To make this piece of art, using a number of different small tools, I rolled, shaped a lot of paper strips, then glued them using various combinations. After that, I used adhesive to carefully attach them to illustration board.  This is a type of board that is a very firm and stable.  It is also an acid-free surface. My completed creation becomes a SPECIAL lifelong Paper Quilling Salvator Mundi design to enjoy. Please see the image below!

A Lifelong Home for a Unique Master Copy Art Object

I have used only archival materials and techniques to assemble this Salvator Mundi With Quilling Method work at the expense of many hundreds of hours of labor. Acid-Free paper has been mounted using archival adhesive to a heavy-ply illustration board. This work was then framed inside of a black hardwood frame complete with plexiglass glazing.

Having spent so much time with this piece, I have built a strong emotional connection to it. As much as it pains me to be parted from it, I would be humbled to see it live on, with appreciation, in the home of a new art collector.
